Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “George R,” one page, 13.25 x 9.25, March 12, 1801. King George appoints Peter Boardman as a “Lieutenant to…the Loyal Stockport Volunteers commanded by our trusty and welbeloved Major Holland Watson.” Signed in the upper left by George. Paper seal affixed to the upper left remains fully intact. In very good condition, with three heavy vertical storage folds, overall soiling, and a stray ink blot affecting first letter of signature.
