Handwritten track list for his album entitled American III: Solitary Man, one lined page, 8.5 x 11.5, July 10, 2000, titled at the top, “John’s Long List,” and signed at the conclusion, “Johnny Cash.” Tentative track listing of 16 songs for American III, including “Solitary Man,” “One,” “I Won’t Back Down,” “Country Trash,” “Mary of the Wild Moor,” and “Wayfaring Stranger.” Next to the latter two, Cash writes “Sheryl?” and “Sheryl, Accordion & Vocals,” referring to Sheryl Crow, who did indeed play the accordion on both “Mary of the Wild Moor” and “Wayfaring Stranger.” In fine condition. The album’s final track listing varied slightly and was shorter, at just 14 songs. Cash won a Grammy for this album, taking home the 2001 Award for Best Male Country Vocal Performance for his rendition of Neil Diamond’s classic, “Solitary Man.” Pre-certified Roger Epperson/REAL and RR Auction COA.
