With a scarce full signature, Captain Reagan appoints a member of the Motion Picture Unit

DS, signed “Ronald W. Reagan,” one page, 8 x 10.25, November 5, 1943. An appointment for “Miss Manon Nickerson,” to the position of “Jr. Artist Illustrator,” with a salary of $1440.00. Signed at the bottom by Reagan as Captain and Civilian Personnel Officer. In fine condition, with intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature, and a bit of scattered light toning. As part of the army’s 1st Motion Picture Unit in Culver City, Reagan assisted in the production of more than 400 training films. Promoted to captain in 1943, Reagan held that rank when he signed this document, and retained that commission until his discharge at the end of World War II. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
