Very well-preserved Union daguerreotype case, 3.25 x 3.75, circa 1863. Both black covers bear scroll relief to the edges, with an eagle and shield and 13 stars to the center. Above the eagle a banner reads, “The Union and Constitution.” Case bears a daguerreotype of an unidentified man. In fine condition. RR Auction COA.
