Twelve original graphite sketches of classic big band musicians by an unknown artist on individual off-white 8 x 11 sheets, each signed in ink or pencil by the subject, with many dated throughout the 1940s and inscribed to “Fred.” Signers are: Glen Miller, Benny Goodman, Johnny ‘Scat’ Davis, Claude Thornhill, Guy Lombardo, Tommy Tucker, Bobby Byrne, Alvino Rey, Vaughn Monroe, Woody Herman, Shep Fields, and Marion Hutton. All are contained in a 10 x 11.5 photo album. In overall fine condition. Unlike many amateur sketches, these were clearly drawn by a talented artist and capture a lifelike essence of each musician.
