Letter to Collier, Jr. In part: “We are inviting some of the outstanding persons of this community to meet…to discuss what can be done to help the terrible suffering of the civilian population of Poland who through no part of their own are suddenly plunged into indescribable misery, both mental and physical.” In fine condition, with a horizontal fold passing through the very top of the signature and a paperclip impression to the upper left.
