Two undated notes in pencil from Berlin to Collier. First is signed “Irving Berlin,” one page on the reverse of a 6.5 x 5.5 Strand Theatre memo sheet, in part: “Stop at my office for a second after the show…I want you to hear a number.” Second is signed “I. Berlin,” one page on a 10 x 6 gin rummy score sheet, and mentions “Best Cigars” and “Alex Korda”, famed British film director. A rough right edge to the first letter and unobtrusive folds to both, otherwise overall fine condition. Both are accompanied by certificates of authenticity from PSA/DNA. Provenance: William Collier Family Collection. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
