Description

“What excitement with the depart of Apollo 11”

ALS signed “Taina,” three pages, 5.75 x 7.75, July 17, 1969. Letter to director George Cukor. In part: “What excitement with the depart of Apollo 11, can hardly wait until Monday morning! These flights take a lot out of even an ordinary person, the agonizing for the astronauts’ safety…I was full of enthusiasm for my going to Rome to work. Well, that little epic fell through, and to be truthful it was a relief to me, because the script was terrible.” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, filled out in Elg’s hand, including her full name, “Taina Elg,” in the return address area. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
