Original 1942 Japanese government-issued Philippine Peso banknote, neatly signed on the reverse in fountain pen, “Douglas MacArthur.” In fine condition, with three small pieces of toned tape affixed to the obverse (not affecting the appearance of the signed side). An uncommon and especially interesting format, as these were often used as propaganda leaflets by Allied forces, who printed messages on them and dropped them over occupied areas. RR Auction COA.
