Description

1969 letter addressing problems on a charter flight

British politician (1925–2013) who was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1979 to 1990. Early ALS, three sides of two pages, 5.75 x 8, House of Commons letterhead, July 11, 1969. Letter addressing a complaint. In part: “It seems to me there are two points…concerning help from the consulate…Whether, on a charter flight, a few of the passengers could be permitted to board…I think the real fault lies with those who organized the charter as they had already been warned, but in spite of that they had ignored both verbal and written warnings. Clearly they would have gone on ignoring them if a second exception had been made.” In fine condition, with a rusty staple hole to top left corners. RR Auction COA.
