Prominent civil rights lawyer (1907–2007) who helped end the doctrine of ‘separate but equal.’ Two items: one TLS signed “Oliver W. Hill,” one page, 8.5 x 11, personal law office letterhead, July 16, 1993. In part: “There are a good number of advantages to be derived from graduating from a good law school. You can choose to practice law in a wide range of specialties. You will also find lawyers in prominent positions in practically all fields of activity in business, the arts, and politics”; and a felt tip signature and inscription on an off-white 5 x 3 card.
