Letter to General G. T. Beauregard. In part: “I have the honor to enclose herewith for your information a copy of a letter of Instructions which I have given to Maj. E. T. D. Myers…a member of the Commission for Collecting & Distributing Rail Road Iron, Maj. Myers goes to Georgia for the purpose of aiding in procuring, under your direction and authority, Iron for repair of the broken Roads in Georgia.” Letter is inlaid to a slightly larger sheet.
