Description

Horatio Gouverneur Wright

ALS signed “H. G. Wright,” one page, lightly-lined, 5 x 7.75, October 14, 1872. Letter to General Abbott. In full: “Please let me know how Manchester is getting along. It is time I suppose for the character of the wound to have developed, so as to enable the doctor to judge pretty accurately about it. I trust he is decidedly mending, though the great loss of blood looks anything but favorable.” Letter is inlaid to a slightly larger off-white sheet. In fine condition. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
