Abraham Lincoln: John Bingham

Judge advocate in the trial of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination conspiracy and a prosecutor in Andrew Johnson’s impeachment hearings (1815–1900). Original 2.25 x 3.75 carte-de-visite portrait of Bingham, signed at the bottom of the image in black ink, “Jno. A. Bingham.” Published by Alexander Gardner of Washington. In fine condition, with clipped corner tips and edges likely slightly trimmed (neither affecting the image or signature). Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
