Felix Nadar

Pseudonym of Gaspard-Felix Tournachon (1820–1910), a French photographer, caricaturist, journalist, novelist, and balloonist. ALS in French, signed “Nadar,” one page, 4.5 x 7, personal letterhead, October 3, 1903. Letter to an unidentified gentleman. In full (translated): “In Paris for a few days only. I so much want, even need to see you. But my age makes it hard for me to move about, so I would be twice obliged to you if you would let me know as soon as possible what days and hours you are at the museum so that I can be sure to meet you there.” In fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
