Reflecting on their glory days: “I...edged out Ted Williams for the batting title”

Two ALSs, each one page, 8.5 x 11, Kell’s dated September 14, 1987. Kell’s letter, in part: “I got two hits on the final day of the season in 1949 and edged out Ted Williams for the batting title—I hit 342.9—Ted hit 342.7—this had to be one of my finest moments.” Ferrell’s letter, in part: “Some of the highlights are—Caught entire game of 1st All Star game in 1933—Hold Am League record of most games caught 1806.” In overall fine condition.
