#501, cal. .41 rimfire. This is a Type II pistol with the one line barrel address “Remington Arms Co. Ilion, N. Y.” 3″ barrels, the bores with worn rifling and even light pitting. The hinge has an old repair and still shows a partial hairline crack on one side. The metal retains about 50% original nickel-plating (almost all on the right side), the left side with an almost black patina and even pinprick pitting on the frame. The barrel address is in fine condition. The checkered hard rubber grips show moderate wear. This has matching numbers, and the mechanism works well. This transfers as a modern firearm.
