#1265, cal. .41 rimfire, 2 9/16″ octagon barrel with a fair bore having some light pitting. The metal retains about 10% original nickel-plating with the balance having a dark patina and fine condition factory markings. The rosewood grips have a well done repair to the right side and rate good. This gun made by Hopkins and Allen of Norwich, Connecticut, and has an 1870 patent date.
