Original glossy 5.5 x 3.25 mug shot photo of Adonis, filled out with a physical description and personal details on the reverse, listing his name as “Joseph A. Doto,” crime as “Asst. & Robbery,” occupation as “Auto Dealer,” and date of arrest as “September 16, 1937.” In fine condition, with creasing to corners. As a part of his criminal empire, Adonis owned a number of car dealerships in New Jersey, where customers were intimidated into buying ‘protection insurance’ for their vehicle.
