Frank Leahy

Renowned college football coach (1908–1973) who, after serving as an assistant at Georgetown, Michigan State, and Fordham, became head coach at Boston College. In 1941, he became head coach and athletic director at Notre Dame, his alma mater. Outstanding vintage glossy 7 x 9.25 portrait of Leahy, signed and inscribed across his face in fountain pen, “Best wishes to Mariam McGrane for lots of good luck and happiness, Sincerely, Frank Leahy.” In fine condition, with some surface impressions to the lower right. Pre-certified Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
