Meserve, 268 Edgecome Avenue, New York City,” signed in the lower border in blue ink, “Charles E. Hughes, Dec. 15, 1929.” In fine condition. Meserve was a New York textile executive, book lover, and authority on Lincolniana. He has been called America's first great photograph collector.
