In part: “I have read your letter with a great deal of interest and have sent it to Major Edward L. Munson, Medical Department, who was president of the board which designed the last shoe…You will find him an intelligent and appreciative listener…I am so swamped here with the hundred and one things incident to the closing days of the present administration that I have not had time to go into a matter of this sort in detail.” In fine condition, with central horizontal and vertical folds, one through a single letter of signature, and a paperclip mark to top left.
