Lovely vintage 7 x 9 albumen photo of one of Read’s paintings affixed to its original 12.5 x 19.25 mount, signed and inscribed on the mount in black ink, “‘The Pleiades,’ by T. Buchanan Read, From the original picture painted for the Duke of Salamanca, Rome, 1871, To Mrs. Read, from the Author.” Mount is also blindstamped by the studio, R. Falcetti of Rome.
