Towel bag that spent 10 days in space in preparation for a mission to the moon

Flown utility towel Beta Cloth bag carried by Jim McDivitt during the Apollo 9 mission. Beta cloth bag measures 8 x 13, with a large zipper flap at the top and a label sewn on the front of the flap which reads, “CM Utility Towel Assy. Mfg. By: B. Welson Co., P/N: SEB42100079-204, S/N: 1128, Date of Mfg.: 2/27/68.” Bag is signed on the front in green felt tip, “Flown on Apollo 9, March 3–13, 1969, Jim McDivitt, Commander, Apollo 9.” Also accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from NovaSpace signed by McDivitt, stating, “I certify that this beta cloth utility towel bag was flown aboard Apollo 9.” In fine condition. Pre-certified Steve Zarelli and RR Auction COA.
