Army general (1806–1879) in the Mexican-American and Civil War. Scallop-topped partly-printed vellum DS, signed “Geo. Cadwalader,” one page, 24 x 18.5, November 26, 1877. Cadwalader and his wife sell to George A. Heyl “in consideration of the sum of five thousand eight hundred dollars…[a] Lot or Piece of ground, with the two story brick stable and back house erected thereon.” Signed twice at the conclusion by Cadwalader. In fine condition, with small separations to central storage folds. Embossed seal and wax-sealed ribbon remain crisp and perfectly intact. RR Auction COA.
