Letter to Mr. Derby reads, in part, “I suppose you did not get my last letter…asking that the Volumes of the Cyclopedia should not be sent at present”; and an original 4.5 x 6.5 cabinet photo by J. P. Kent of Rochester, New York, signed below the image in black ink, “Mary J. Holmes, Brockport, N. Y.” In very good condition, with intersecting folds and toning to letter, and a tear to top edge of photo as well as light paper loss, a pencil notation and scattered toning. RR Auction COA.
