British temperance leader and campaigner for women's rights (1851–1921). AQS, signed “Isabel Somerset,” on an 4.5 x 3.5 off-white card, dated November 13, 1892. Somerset writes, “All reformers are stoned until they succeed then the laws that raised the weapons are lifted to Ness.” In fine condition, with a couple blocks of mild toning. Accompanied by a carte-de-visite portrait of Somerset with two other women, with printed signatures of all three in the lower border. RR Auction COA.
