Description

With success on the horizon, the frontman confides, “It’s all getting very complex. I sometimes wish I were a little old shoemaker or something”

ALS signed “Don,” two pages, lightly-lined, 6 x 9, Los Angeles, February 12, 1971. Letter to a friend. In part: “The news media, as usual, tended to over-dramatize the whole thing, you know. I’m not saying it wasn’t a bad quake—it was, and I’m certainly not saying I wasn’t scared—but it was sort of fun—in an odd sort of way…Our album is due to be released in a couple of days and things are starting to happen. It’s all getting very complex. I sometimes wish I were a little old shoemaker or something.” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, filled out in Henley’s hand. Pre-certified Roger Epperson/REAL and RR Auction COA.
