Partly-printed DS, signed “Victoria,” one page, 13 x 9.25, March 9, 1846. The Queen appoints Herman Ernest Gallon to be “Second Lieutenant in Our Sixth Regiment of Foot.” Signed at the top by Victoria. In very good condition, with vertical folds, scattered foxing and creasing, and handwritten portions of the document light, but still legible.
