Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

AQS on an off-white 7 x 4 sheet. Longfellow pens the first verse of ‘The Builders.’ In full: “All are architects of Fate, / Working in these walls of Time, / Some with massive deeds and great, / Some with ornaments of rhyme.” Signed at the conclusion, “Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Cambridge, Mass, Jan. 1, 1882.” Two vertical folds, small pencil notation to bottom, and mounting remnants to reverse, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
