William C. Ralston

Businessman and financier (1826–1875) who founded the Bank of California, thought to have committed suicide after the collapse of his financial empire. Original 4.25 x 6.5 cabinet photo by Bradley & Rulofson of San Francisco, signed at the bottom of the image in black ink, “Yours truly, W. C. Ralston.” In fine condition, with the signature a shade light. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
