TLS, one page, 5.25 x 8, Harvard University letterhead, April 17, 1933. Letter to a young lawyer. In part: “I think you were mild in your reply to Mr. Shafroth. You might have asked him to explain to the American people just what the relation of the bar has been; and by the bar I mean the dominant leaders that give the tone to the bar—to the wildcat conduct of American industry and finance that has landed us where we are.” In fine condition, with light overall toning and filing holes to the top. Accompanied by an unsigned typed letter from Frankfurter and its original mailing envelope. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
