Bosco Gio,” one page, 5.5 x 8.25, Bath letterhead, September 21, 1858. Letter to his benefactor Senator Cotta. In part (translated): “Yesterday the Marquis Patrizi [patron and associate of John Bosco] planned on going to see you, but the hours passed and he didn’t have time. This morning, before leaving, he entrusted me with making known to you the most respectful signs of his esteem and benevolence and reserving to himself the right to renew them to you personally when he returns from Rome…wishing you with the aid of heaven, health and grace.” Reverse of second integral page bears an address panel in Bosco’s hand.
