Letter to William Targ of G. P. Putnam’s Sons. In part: “I’d certainly like to read a good book about my home town in the days of General Pershing and Albert Fall and Pancho Villa—but I’m not the man to write such a book, anyway not at this time of my life.” In fine condition.
