Maryland physician who treated Robert E. Lee after the Civil War. Original unsigned 2.25 x 4 carte-de-visite photo by Bendann Brothers of Baltimore. Pencil notation in an unknown hand on the reverse states “Dr. Thomas Buckler, Dr. to R. E. Lee.” In fine condition.
