Benjamin Franklin Tracy

Union general and politician (1830–1915) who was awarded a Medal of Honor for his actions during the Battle of the Wilderness. He later served as Secretary of the Navy under Benjamin Harrison. Original 4 x 6.5 cabinet photo by an anonymous studio, signed in the lower border in black ink, “B. F. Tracy.” Some scattered light surface marks, and light foxing under signature, otherwise fine condition. RR Auction COA.
