Union general (1832–1910) who fought at Cedar Mountain, Lookout Mountain, and Gettysburg, where he played a role in the defense of Culp's Hill. Original 4 x 6.5 cabinet photo, signed below the image in black ink, “Chas Candy, Col 66th Ohio Vol Infy,” adding further information about his unit underneath, and dated 1862. Some scattered light spotting to front, and missing backing resulting in mild edge curling, otherwise fine condition. RR Auction COA.
