Frank W. Parker

Union officer (1837–1902) who served in the 4th New Hampshire Volunteers, was a pioneer of the progressive school movement, and who founded the Chicago Institute. Original 2.25 x 4 carte-de-visite photo by D. O. Furnald of Manchester, New Hampshire, signed below the image in black ink. In fine condition, with two small tack holes to top and pencil notations and a revenue stamp affixed to reverse. RR Auction COA.
