Roman Catholic priest (1891–1979) and popular radio evangelist of the 1930s. He was noted for his extreme views, including his support for the pro-fascist Christian Front, and was later silenced by church authorities. Two items: one vintage glossy 3.75 x 6 photo of Coughlin, signed at the bottom in fountain pen, “Chas. E. Coughlin, March 5/57”; and one TLS signed “Chas. E. Coughlin,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, March 5, 1957, transmitting the signed photo. In overall fine condition, with lightly trimmed edges to photo.
