Aspasia of Greece

Greek commoner who became the controversial wife of Alexander I (1896–1972). Vintage matte-finish 6.5 x 8.5 portrait of Aspasia, signed and inscribed in black ink, “To Mr. Louis-Wily, Aspasia, Princess of Greece, 1932.” Also signed in pencil in the lower left by the photographer, Bertram Park. Affixed to a slightly larger sheet which bears a Bertram Park Studio label affixed to the reverse. In very good condition, with scattered surface marks and foxing, and slight silvering to dark areas of the image. RR Auction COA.
