Georg Henschel

British composer who became the first conductor of the Boston Symphony Orchestra (1850–1934). ALS signed “Geo. Henschel,” one page on a black-bordered sheet, 5 x 6.5, February 12, 1906. Letter to a lady. In part: “It will give me great pleasure to dine with you on Sat. evening next.” In fine condition, with mild overall toning. Accompanied by an unsigned cabinet photo of Henschel and his wife. RR Auction COA.
