Description

“The picture here in Barcelona seems to be going quite well...except for the fact that nobody eats dinner here until around 9:30 or 10 at night”

Two letters: TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, March 22, 1937, in part: “I’m only sorry you did not attend the President’s ball. Had you been there, and made yourself known, we might have danced a couple just for ‘couplets’ sake”; and one TLS to his tailor, signed “Bob,” one page, 7.75 x 10.75, personal letterhead, November 15, [1966], in part: “The picture here in Barcelona seems to be going quite well…except for the fact that nobody eats dinner here until around 9:30 or 10 at night…There is still a possibility that I may have to come back to Spain right after Xmas for another picture in which I’ll need the Navy-type uniform we talked about before.” Intersecting folds and overall creasing to the 1966 letter, otherwise overall fine condition. Accompanied by both original mailing envelopes and an unsigned glossy photo of Taylor. RR Auction COA.
