Educator and civil rights leader (1875–1955) best known for starting a school for African-American students in Florida, that eventually became Bethune-Cookman University. Ink signature, “Mary McLeod Bethune,” on an off-white 6.25 x 1.25 slip clipped from a guest book. In fine condition. RR Auction COA.
