Handwritten lyrics to the Ramone’s song ‘Out of Here,’ on the reverse of a 9 x 12 envelope panel. An early version of the song, Ramone writes out in blue ballpoint (with spelling and grammar retained), “Life to short to worry bout it/We’re getting out of here/As fast as we can/We’re gettin out of here as fast as we can/Dusty highway/Raging seas/Waves of passion/Come back to me/Come back to me oo/Well never pass this/way pass this way/again.” Front of envelope panel bears an CBS Records address label addressed to Ramone’s New York apartment, and is postmarked May 11, 1982. In very good condition, with scattered creasing and soiling, as well as some dampstaining to edges. ‘Out of Here’ was featured on the 2002 expanded edition of the Ramones album Too Tough to Die.
