Politician (1860–1947) who introduced the Volstead Act, passed in 1919 to establish Prohibition. AQS on an off-white 3.5 x 2.5 card with a clipped October 18, 1925, Granite Falls, Minnesota, postmark affixed to top right. Volstead writes, “Hew to the line, Don’t mind the chips,” signing above, “A. J.
