Teacher and humanitarian (1821–1912) best known for organizing the relief organization the American Red Cross. Vintage 4 x 5.75 photo by E. Chickering of Boston, and affixed to its original 6 x 9 mount, signed and inscribed on the mount in black ink “To my dear Harold, with long cherished love, Clara Barton, Dec 1907.” In fine condition.
