Prolific and prodigiously talented French Romantic composer (1835–1921) of such timeless works as the ‘Organ’ Symphony,’ the opera ‘Samson et Dalila,’ and the perennial concert favorite ‘Carnival of the Animals.’ Original 4.5 x 6.5 cabinet photo by Dierredeti and Fils of Paris, inscribed in black ink in French, and signed “C.
