Prussian statesman and First Chancellor of the German Empire (1815–1898). Original 2.25 x 4 carte-de-visite photo, boldly signed in the lower border in black ink. Reverse bears a collector’s notation which reads, “Count Bismarck with his autograph given by himself in Berlin May 31, 1868.” In fine condition, with a few light spots to image and pencil notations to reverse bottom edge.
