Stage name of Lavinia Warren (1841–1919) who performed with her husband in P. T. Barnum’s shows. Two original carte-de-visite photos, both 2.25 x 4, both stamped on the reverse “Collection of Americana, Frederick H. Meserve,” one of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Thumb, signed in the lower border in black ink by Warren, “Charles S. Stratton the original Genl Tom Thumb and wife Lavinia W. Stratton”; the other of Warren in her wedding gown, signed in the lower border, “Mrs. Lavinia W. Stratton, Married Feb 10th 1863.” Also included is an ANS, signed “Countess M. L. Magri,” dated December 25, 1912, on the reverse of one of her 3 x 2.25 visiting cards. Note reads, “Will you forgive me I mislaid these pictures today I found them again, asking you pardon me.” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. RR Auction COA.
