Clinton begs for support before his narrow defeat in the 1980 gubernatorial election

TLS signed “Bill,” one page, 8.5 x 11, State of Arkansas letterhead, October 27, 1980. Letter to supporters. In part: “Thank you so much for your very kind remarks concerning the article which appeared in ‘Parade’ magazine and for sending me a copy of the article. I felt honored to be singled out in this manner.” Clinton hand writes a postscript below: “Please do what you can for me these last few days. Thanks.” Moderate scattered creases, toning, and soiling, and a slight brush to the handwritten postscript, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
